Managing Your Money

What is the very first thing you do when you get your money? Do you have a plan, or do you just start spending? Keeping track of where every cent goes each month is like having a secret map for your future.
Some people think a "dream job" with a huge salary is the only way to be wealthy, but that’s not necessarily true. Even those who make a lot of money can run out if they aren't careful. Being "good with money" isn't about how much you receive, it’s about how well you look after it.
The "Save First" Rule
One of the best habits you can start right now is saving money before you spend it. Most people buy toys, clothes, or snacks first, then try to save whatever is left at the end of the month. The problem is, there’s usually nothing left!
Instead, try to "Pay Yourself First." As soon as you receive an allowance, gift, or another source of money.take a specific amount even just a few cents, and put it away immediately. It helps to keep this money in a separate piggy bank or account so you aren't tempted by something shiny at the store.
If you do this every single time, your savings will grow steadily without you even noticing!
